West Acres is thrilled to welcome Ian Scheele as our next artist-in-residence! Throughout his time at West Acres, you’ll have the chance to witness live demonstrations and much more! Engage with Ian one-on-one, uncovering the stories and inspirations behind his creations. We are so excited to have him at West Acres!
As a mixed-media sculptor, his work focuses on the intersections of art, science, and design using a wide range of techniques and materials. Drawing inspiration from his background in neuroscience and chemistry, as well as his studio practice, he approaches each piece with an experimental mindset. The outcome is often unknown until the work is complete, revealing an element of surprise and discovery that is central to his creative process.
