Call for 3-D Artists; West Acres is looking for artists working in three-dimensional media such as ceramics, wood, glass, etc. Don’t miss this opportunity to showcase your body of work to some of our six million annual guests!
- Our Art Case sits outside of Von Maur fully encased in glass allowing customers to see your work from all sides!
- The Art Case is comprised of two identical levels with three sections, each with integrated track lighting and security locks.
- West Acres supports selected artists with signage, artist statements, installation guidance, stipend, and social media promotion.
- Artwork may be offered for sale; West Acres takes no commission.
- Application Deadline: end of July/early August
- Location: Von Maur court at the West Acres Mall
- Dates: Dates: October 29, 2026 – TBD. We are accepting artists starting October 29 with a minimum install timeframe of 3 months.
Eligibility: Artists should have a body of three-dimensional work large enough to fill the whole case or be willing to collaborate with fellow artists to share the Art Case. West Acres maintains the right to accept/not accept a piece of artwork.
Guidelines:
- Needs to be a three- dimensional work, can be any medium.
- Works must fit inside the case. The case is comprised of two identical levels, each having three sections, two smaller sections measuring 32” L x 33” W x 26” H, and one larger section measuring 86” L x 33” W x 26” H.
- No drilling into the case. Small cup hooks are installed for hanging objects.
- Subjects of the pieces should be appropriate for displaying them in a public, family-friendly space.
West Acres is proud to host a selection of local and regional artwork and limited-time displays. They support our region’s art culture while connecting artists to our guests. It enhances West Acres experience for shoppers and visitors. Each of the Mall’s five Courts reflects a permanent, themed component of Regional Showcase, along with incorporating pieces of new and upcoming local artists.
