WEST ACRES’ IT’S A WONDERFUL NIGHT IS BACK!
The time has come to once again plan West Acres Shopping Center’s annual holiday kick-off event to benefit local fundraising organizations! The 23rd annual “It’s a Wonderful Night” Community Shopping event will take place on Sunday, November 21, 2021, from 6:00pm-9:00pm, to raise money for local charities and non-profit organizations. Shoppers are required to purchase a $5 ticket (children age 6 and under are free when accompanied by a paid adult). This year’s event will include exclusive savings at West Acres’ stores, special holiday experiences, giveaways and more!
We have decided to move forward with hosting the event this year, while also ensuring we stay up to date on current pandemic progress and projections as well as health protocols to maintain the safety of our customers, stores, staff and volunteers. Our goal, as always, is to create a festive, fun and safe environment for visitors, as well as an impactful fundraising event for the participating organizations and a successful shopping event for our stores.
A new change to this year’s event is our organization application. Organizations who are interested in participating in this year’s event will be required to submit an online application. The application is designed to gather additional information on how your organization plans to sell tickets, what the funds will be used for, and other insights that will help us ensure the event is successful for all involved. We are grateful for all that each organization does to be actively involved in this fundraising event!
Submission deadline is Tuesday, October 5th. Participating organizations will be contacted by Friday, October 8th with additional information.
At the time of approval, all organizations will be provided with a package of information including ticket sales links, promotional materials, and social images to help promote ticket sales. We had much success with selling tickets online last year and have decided to continue with this method going forward. Customers buying tickets through the online platform will be able to pick the organization they would like to support.
Additionally, groups that sell online tickets may have the opportunity to volunteer the evening of the event and earn even more money for your organization. Changes will be made to the check-in process this year to accommodate our new ticket selling method and specific volunteer positions will be explained to those organizations who are chosen to volunteer the night of the event.
