Security Officer (part time)

West Acres has a part time Security Officer position available. Security Officers work closely with other team members to maintain a safe and enjoyable atmosphere and promote business success at the property. He/she will become familiar with all aspects of mall operations and trained to understand how Safety & Security play a critical role. The range of pay for this non-exempt position is $17-$18/hour, depending on experience. Typical hours are afternoons and evenings, with no overnight shifts required, and all work is performed on West Acres mall property.

Core Functions

• Demonstrate a culture of customer service by responding to security and safety needs of customers and staff in a rapid, friendly, respectful, and helpful manner
• Perform security patrols in and around the West Acres Development and Adjacent properties with the ability to be on your feet for the majority of your shift
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create safety hazards or security risks

Qualifications and Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to acquire state security license
• Experience in or ability to be trained in law enforcement, security, or a related field
• Ability to work independently and make decisions consistent with company policy
