The new season calls for a few new pieces! Take a peek at the 6 that are on the top of our list for freshening up your springtime style…

Spring has officially sprung, and we are in full spring cleaning mode when it comes to our closets. Living in a place that has four season changes, we understand that refreshing your wardrobe for the new season doesn’t need to mean a complete wardrobe overhaul, but instead a slight transition from last season’s styles with just a few new additions. This spring, we are welcoming in the warmer weather in style with just 6 new pieces.

Take a look through the 6 must-have items that you can count on for springing some freshness into your wardrobe…

1. The Leather Jacket

Around these parts, chilly mornings and cool nights make having an extra layer on hand at all times essential. Our outer layer pick is this black faux leather jacket from Express. With its classic silhouette and versatile color, it can be dressed up or down and worn far beyond just the spring season.

Not a leather lover? Denim jackets are all over stores again this season, and can be swapped out for leather jackets in tons of looks! Cargo jackets, another one of our favorite layering pieces, are our go-to for more casual outfits.

2. The Top Handle Handbag

Top handle handbags are the practical accessory doubling as a stylish accent that our spring wardrobes have been waiting for. With bags in bright, flashy prints to purses in pastel hues, there truly is a top handle handbag for every style this spring.

While we’ve spotted bags with adorable details like tortoise shell handles and studded leather accents, we fell in love with this handbag from Gap, which perfectly encapsulates the spring trend of wicker and crochet texturing.

3. The Statement Earring

From feathers to crystals, bold earring styles are making a statement on the jewelry racks in tons of our stores! We love bold jewelry styles like these earrings from francesca’s because they don’t necessarily require pairing with a necklace or bracelet, making them a nearly effortless way to add extra interest to our outfits.

And as a bonus, if you’re not ready to invest in a trendy item like a jacket or shoes, bold jewelry pieces like these earrings are a super cost-efficient way to incorporate spring trends without breaking the bank.

4. The Floral Dress

We can’t think of anything that says “spring” more than floral dresses, and with so many different styles to choose from in our stores this season, we think it’s fair to say that a springtime wardrobe isn’t complete without one. Floral is one of the season’s top trending prints, and with floral designs in everything from bold, bright colors to more subdued hues, there is a floral dress for every fashionista this spring.

Shop this dress at Lane Bryant.

5. The Graphic Tee

Graphic tees have been growing in popularity over the last several months, and this season’s are all about empowerment and positivity. Besides being a simple way to promote things we believe in, we love graphic tees for how easily they can add a little extra detail to an outfit. Wearing a graphic tee with your favorite denim, jacket, and sneakers turns an otherwise basic outfit into one that has tons of uniqueness and personality.

Find this graphic tee and so many more at Express.

6. The Statement Pump

Our advice when deciding on which statement pumps to include in your spring shopping spree? The bolder the better. Our other advice? Pick a pair that are in a top color for spring. Making sure your shoes can easily be mixed and matched with the rest of your spring wardrobe is key to making sure you get to show them off as much as possible.

Find these hot pink pumps at White House Black Market.
