Let’s cut to the chase – braving the biggest shopping day of the year can be a little intimidating, but there are a few things that can prepare you for the biggest day of deals! We want to make sure your day is filled with sales, shopping and fun, so here are the tips that will set you up for smooth sailing while Black Friday shopping…

Tip #1: Dress for success

If there is one thing we can suggest, it’s to get down to business in your most comfortable attire. If you’re planning to try things on, it is easiest to wear items that can easily be slipped on and off. Think light – tennis shoes and light layers are the way to go. The last thing you want is to be carrying around your coat through the mall (keep those arms open for shopping bags!), so either leave your coat in the car or Guest Services would gladly check your coat and extra items, so you can get to shopping!

Tip #2: Know your deals

We know savings are on your mind, so be prepped and ready for the ones you simply can’t miss. Just in case your trip takes you a little longer than expected, hit your must-shop sales first! Tip #3: Don’t forget this must-have accessory

With deals starting and ending at different times, having a watch, or something in-hand to keep you on track and on time, is a great way to take advantage of time-sensitive sales! (Crunched on time? Select stores are open Thursday night. Come out early to shop these sales, and check back Friday to tackle the rest of your list.)

Tip #4: Re-fueling is a must

Nobody wants an energy lull in the middle of a shopping session.. Hit up the food court for a quick snack & refreshment! (Tip: Facing long lines? Try Panera or Chick-fil-A’s apps and order ahead!)

Tip #5: Map out a game plan

Make a plan and map out a route for your must-shop stores. There’s no time to waste! The last thing you want to do is waste time walking from one side of the mall to the other multiple times (although it’s a great way to get your steps in!). Click here to map out your game plan.

Bonus Tip: Best times to shop

We’re all about making your shopping trip as easy as possible. If you’re looking for the least busy time to shop, it pays to be the early bird or to wait until later in the day. Best times are before 9am or after 6pm on Friday.
