Beautiful foliage, crisp air, fresh fashion – it’s safe to say we’ve never been more excited for for fall! From must-have styles and new stores, to exciting events and activities, join us this season to discover everything fall has to offer at West Acres. Here are 5 ways to celebrate the season with us…
1. Refresh for Fall
Fall fashion seems to be a favorite in our neck of the woods, and with so many trends to choose from this season you’re sure to find must-have pieces to add to your wardrobe. With events and activities filling up our calendar this season, it’s never been easier to pull together the perfect outfit. We can’t wait to fill your feed with cozy clothes, stylish shoes, and a weekly glimpse of the top items in stores.
There’s never been a more perfect time to feel refreshed and renewed than a change of seasons! We love to get pampered at any one of our fabulous salons and beauty retailers – whether it’s getting our nails and makeup done, or re-stocking our collection of scents and products.

2. Visit The Market (the Market has concluded – thanks for a great season!)
If there’s anything better than comfort food when the leaves start to turn and the air gives a chill, it’s the fresh produce that goes along with it! The Market at West Acres is a farmers market featuring local growers and makers, providing the best fresh foods that are the perfect addition to your favorite fall dishes.

3. Attend an Event
From fashion and beauty to sips while you shop, we have an exciting list of events and activities we can’t wait to host this season!
Friday, September 28th: Beauteous Grand Opening (10am-9pm)
We are so excited for the opening of our new activewear store, Beauteous! Join in on their opening day fun:
- Entire store is on sale all day long!
- Granite City will be providing beer, wine, and apps from 3pm-9pm.
- Special appearances throughout the day by Shannon Tjaden, Mrs. North Dakota & Laura Schmidt, Mrs. North Dakota International 2018
- Special prize drawings throughout the evening
Beauteous is located in the JCPenney wing, next to Gap Kids.
Saturday, October 6th: Pumpkin Palooza at The Market @ West Acres (10am-1pm)
Bring out the family and kick-off the fall season at this free fun event, presented by Northern Plains Botanic Garden Society! The event will be held at The Market, located in the west parking lot, near 42nd Ave from 10am-1pm!
- Free pumpkin painting for kids ages 12 and under
- $1 pumpkin painting for those 13 and up
- Fall-themed photobooth
*Pumpkins provided by vendors. Prices may vary based on pumpkin size

Saturday, October 20th & 27th: Fall Tap Fest (12pm-4pm)
You’re invited to our first-ever Fall Tap Fest, featuring local breweries, Fargo Brewing Company & Wild Terra Cider!
For 4 weekends, enjoy sips while you shop or take in the atmosphere and listen to music by local groups and artists. Here’s where & when you can find the fun:
October 20th & October 27th: Fargo Brewing Company with music by Max Johnk Quartet
Additional Dates: November 3rd & November 10th with Wild Terra.
It’s all happening in Buffalo Court, in between Bath & Body Works and Boot Barn.

Wednesday, October 31: Spooooky Story Squad (9:30am-10am)
Bring out the kiddos to our lounge near center court for a Halloween-edition Story Squad with United Way of Cass-Clay. During story time, special guest readers will read 2 books! More info coming soon.
Wednesday, October 31: Bootiful Night Trick-or-Treating Event (5:30pm-7:30pm)
Dress up your trick-or-treatin’ tikes & bring the whole family out for a BOOtiful night of Halloween festivities:
- BOOk Fest: As a part of its Imagination Library, United Way of Cass-Clay is giving away childrens books!
- Trick-or-treating at participating stores
- Balloon animals and free family photos
- Chance to win a Mall Card
- Bring a non-perishable food item and be entered in a drawing for a $50 mall card. One entry per person. All items will be donated to the Great Plains Food Bank’s BackPack program

5. Get Creative
Ever since the launch of our Artist in Residence program last year, we’ve continued the program and inspired our community to learn about and embrace different mediums of art through unique and interactive experiences with local artists. Whether you visit our Artist in Residence (more info coming soon on our next local artist!) or walk through our halls to view the region’s largest collection of artwork, immerse yourself in the works of some of the area’s most talented artists.
