It’s no secret that it’s been busy around here! From exciting expansions of locally-owned stores to the activation of spaces for artist studios to the announcement of one of the region’s most popular restaurants coming to West Acres, there has been a lot going on! Let us introduce you to what’s new & what’s coming soon…
Aquarium Court (remodeled November, 2019)
Located in the east side of the mall
From brand new soft seating areas, massive skylights, a bar outfitted with stools and outlets for working, custom-built furniture by Grain Designs and more, our newly remolded Aquarium Court nestles itself perfectly in the juxtaposition of both modern and cozy. Opened in junction with the grand openings of CRAVE, Aptitude, and the Nails Pro expansion, Aquarium Court’s remodel makes for a beautiful refresh of the eastern end of the mall.
Aptitude (opened November, 2019)
Located in part of the space that was formerly Sears, between Best Buy and Essentia Health. Aptitude has an entrance in the mall common area through a corridor near the Best Buy storefront.
We are thrilled to be partnering with The Arts Partnership to bring their current arts incubator, APT, to West Acres under its new iteration: Aptitude. With 20 individual studio spaces as well as a kiln room, Aptitude continues the work of APT by providing affordable studios, as well as a safe and collaborative environment for artists to work while providing an opportunity for the community to collide with artists. You can find more information about Aptitude in this blog post.
The District (CRAVE opened fall, 2019)
Located at the northeast side of the mall, taking up the remaining space (and more!) between Forever 21 and Best Buy.
The District, a curated collection of restaurants and experiences, has been one of our most exciting announcements yet! It is intentionally designed to create a clustering of restaurants and entertainment in a beautifully designed space, truly creating a destination. It will feature a collection of first-to-the-market, local and regional restaurants in a one-of-a-kind setting. You can learn more about this exciting addition here.
CRAVE American Kitchen & Sushi Bar was the first restaurant that joined The District!
CRAVE American Kitchen & Sushi Bar (opened October, 2019)

Our most delicious addition yet, CRAVE American Kitchen & Sushi Bar serves up appetizers, entrees, desserts, cocktails and so much more. Between the fresh sushi, the award-winning wine list, and the extensive allergy-friendly menu options, CRAVE is a culinary destination unlike any other in the region, and we are thrilled to have them as part of the West Acres family since fall of 2019.
