It’s no secret that it’s been busy around here! From exciting expansions of locally-owned stores to the activation of spaces for artist studios to the announcement of one of the region’s most popular restaurants coming to West Acres, there has been a lot going on! Let us introduce you to what’s new & what’s coming soon…
Expansion: Halberstadt’s (opened July 2019)
Halberstadt’s has expanded for the second time! Halberstadt’s not only is the definition of great customer service, they also have an amazing selection of menswear ranging from suits and formalwear to everyday jeans and shirts. Nearly 12,000 square feet means the Halberstadt’s team has been able to have even more opportunities to knock their customer’s socks off with their service and great products!
Located in Fountain Court.
The District (CRAVE opening early fall 2019)
The District, a curated collection of restaurants and experiences, has been one of our most exciting announcements yet! It is intentionally designed to create a clustering of restaurants and entertainment in a beautifully designed space, truly creating a destination. It will feature a collection of first-to-the-market, local and regional restaurants in a one-of-a-kind setting. You can learn more about this exciting addition here.
CRAVE American Kitchen & Sushi Bar is the first restaurant to be joining The District! Construction is well underway and the eatery is set to open early fall 2019.
Located at the northeast side of the mall, taking up the remaining space (and more!) between Forever 21 and Best Buy.
Aptitude (opening late summer 2019)
We are thrilled to be partnering with The Arts Partnership to bring their current arts incubator, APT, to West Acres under its new iteration: Aptitude. With 20 individual studio spaces as well as a kiln room, Aptitude will continue the work of APT by providing affordable studios, as well as a safe and collaborative environment for artists to work while providing an opportunity for the community to collide with artists. Located in part of the space that was formerly Sears, between Best Buy and Essentia Health. The space will have a connection to the mall common area through a corridor near the Best Buy storefront.
Minn Dak Market (opened May 2019)
Carrying strictly locally and regionally-made goods, Minn Dak Market is a destination for shoppers looking to support regional artisans and makers! You can find food, treats, art, books, home decor, and so much more – with new products being brought in weekly.
Located in the JCPenney wing, in the former Gymboree and Beauteous Activewear space.
Christopher & Banks’ two-store shopping experience is back, with CJ Banks reopening right next door! Customers can now shop extended offerings of styles and sizes.

Apricot Lane (relocated & remodeled space opened March 2019)
This locally-owned women’s boutique moved just 3 doors down from their previous space. In their new store, they offer a wide selection of casual wear, dresses, denim, shoes, accessories and more!

Real Good Bath & Body (opened March 2019)
You may remember Real Good Bath & Body from their holiday pop-up space, but now you can shop their locally-made bath and body products year round! Find bath bombs, bath salts, soaps, lotions, and so much more – all made with good-for-you ingredients. And the best part? With every purchase, Real Good Bath & Body donates part of the proceeds to worthy causes.
Located in a hallway kiosk between Gap and Dry Goods.
Ice Point (opened March 2019)
Locally owned and operated, Ice Point is now serving up Thai style hibachi ice cream, bubble tea, fruit tea, smoothies, and more!
Located in the Food Court.
Nails Pro (expansion coming late summer 2019)
Nails Pro will be completely remodeling and expanding into a portion of the old Payless space in order to offer an even greater experience to their customers. This is just one of exciting changes happening in this area of the mall, with the addition of CRAVE and Aptitude happening at the same time!
Located in Aquarium Court.
Dry Goods (opened May 2018)
Dry Goods has an ever-changing selection of today’s newest fashions. From clothing to jewelry to accessories, Dry Goods has everything you’ll need to pull together your latest look.
Located near Buffalo Court, next to Claire’s.
Chick fil A (opened January 2018)
Chick-fil-A, one of our most-requested eateries, made it’s way to West Acres! Home of the original chicken sandwich, get ready to Eat More Chikin in this beautifully-designed restaurant, equipped with a double drive thru, curbside pickup, play area, and more.
Located in the north-west parking lot, off of 13th Ave S. & 42nd St. S.
Game On (opened May 2018)
Game On features the latest in Themed Video Games, Innovative Redemption Games, Self-Merchandisers, and more. You will find the crowd favorites as well as the return of Pinball. Think of it as the arcade of the future!
Located in the Food Court.
Best Buy (opened June 2018)
A new state-of-the-art Best Buy is on its way! Featuring an all new design and exceptional service and experiences, we’re excited to have them within the mall’s halls!
Located in Aquarium Court, in the former Sears space.
Legacy Sweets (opened June 2018)
Legacy Sweets, from the same owners as Legacy Toys, features bulk candy, snacks, retro sodas and candy themed items. If you’re familiar with Legacy Toys, you know that they focus on the experience, and we know that they’ll do the same with Legacy Sweets.
