Fall Flavors We’re Craving at West Acres
Whether you love seasonal favorites like apple and squash or you’re just here for the Oktoberfest, the new eats and drinks around West Acres are the fall flavors we’ve been dreaming of. Get a taste of what you can expect…
One of our favorite parts about fall is all of the yummy food that, let’s be honest, we wait all year for. From comfort food like chili to our guilty pleasure, pumpkin spice lattes, we love that all of fall’s best flavors can be found right here around West Acres.
Whether you take a quick shopping break with a Cinamen Roll Co. treat (trust us, we know how tempting those dreamy cinnamon aromas that fill the hallways are), or you head to Granite City for appetizers and entrees, our eateries’ new items are full of all the seasonal flavors we love.
Take a look at the fall flavors around West Acres this season…
While not necessarily the first dishes that come to mind when we think “fall”, Chili’s menu gets updated every few months and they recently launched a new mushroom Swiss burger and a mushroom jack fajita. Even though there’s no pumpkin or cinnamon in these dishes, you’d be hard pressed to find a time of year that we don’t love a great new burger.
Coolbird Creamery & Cinamen Roll Co.
Swing by this fall treat wonderland for seasonal favorites like pumpkin ice cream, frosted caramel apple bites, or a chocolate candy cane coffee. While cinnamon rolls and caramel rolls are available all year long, we love taking shopping breaks during the fall season to indulge in these sweet treats.
Dairy Queen’s Blizzard menu welcomed back our favorite flavor again this fall: Pumpkin Pie! With bits of pie crust and pumpkin pie filling swirled in, we’d argue that this decadent Blizzard might even top pumpkin pie itself. Their lineup of limited time flavors also includes Snickerdoodle Cookie Dough, Oreo Hot Cocoa, Reese’s Outrageous, and Dipped Strawberry Ghiradelli.
Now through the end of October, it’s Oktoberfest at Granite City! With a menu full of German dishes like jagerschnitzel and spatzle mac and cheese, these limited time dishes aren’t only delicious, but a fun way to experience something new. And did we mention there’s a seasonal brew? The Oktoberfest beer is on tap throughout this month. It has malty, caramel flavors and a hint of toasted biscuit throughout.
Bye, bye black coffee! Lighthouse Coffee’s seasonal drinks are basically fall in a cup. Try their version of the classic pumpkin spice latte, or treat yourself to a caramel apple cider (which is apple cider dressed up with caramel, cinnamon, and whipped cream).
Moxie Java’s seasonal drinks make our morning coffee runs so much more festive. Their drinks this season include: pumpkin spice latte, apple pie latte, caramel roll latte, cinnamon roll latte, vanilla maple latte, cinnamon maple latte, and apple cider. Yum!
Panera Bread’s new fall menu is chock-full of seasonal eats that will likely stick around until December or so. There are tons of new entrees, sides, and desserts, but here are a few of our favorites: bacon mac and cheese, autumn squash soup, heritage ham & Swiss sandwich, four cheese grilled cheese, Cuban sandwich, cherry vanilla bagels, and turkey chili. (Can you blame us for having a long list of favorites?)
While Pretzelmaker’s menu always includes yummy flavors like cinnamon swirl pretzels and cinnamon sugar pretzel bites, they just released a brand new menu item that will be here for the fall season: bacon and mozzarella stuffed pretzel bites. Whether you prefer your pretzels sweet or savory, Pretzelmaker’s eats have something for everyone this fall.
Rising Bread Co.
From bread bowls to toasted sandwiches, Rising Bread Co.’s menu always has us dreaming of the fall season. Some of our favorite dishes this time of year are Minnesota wild rice soup, cranberry toasted almond salad, and knoephla soup.
